At The Breeze RV, we offer fluid analysis for all types of vehicles! Fluid analysis provides information on contamination and wear for engines & transmissions in RVs, tow vehicles, marine vehicles, & motorcycles. Fluid Analysis is also used to assess generator oil & coolant as well as hydronic heating coolant.
We recommend having the following fluids analyzed for both gas & diesel RVs:
- Engine Oil
- Transmission Fluid
- Engine Coolant
If the RV is equipped with a Generator:
- Generator Engine Oil
- Generator Engine Coolant
If the RV is equipped with a hydronic heating system:
- Boiling Coolant
We’re able to complete aspects of coolant analysis such as freeze point, fuel or oil contamination, & acidity on site in real time. For an advanced spectroscopic analysis, we send oil & coolant samples taken during our inspections to an outside laboratory via USPS on the same day the samples are drawn. We’re currently using Blackstone Labs.
While we’re not tribologists, in addition to pulling fluid samples and providing support through the lab process, we provide thorough interpretations of the fluid analysis reports to help you best understand the lab results making you an informed consumer.

Originally used for predictive maintenance on locomotives in WWII, analysis of engine & transmission fluids is a reliable indicator of fluid contamination & internal system wear. Fluid analysis can also help determine the best fluids to use in your vehicle & if an extended change interval can be used.
