Hi folks, Adrienne here! Finding yourself in the right place at the right time can be downright magical sometimes, am I right? Living the full-time RVer lifestyle provides me with opportunities I’d never imagined possible before. Recently, I stumbled upon Girl Gang Garage while scouring the internet for RV related educational opportunities and women led RV/auto businesses.
Girl Gang Garage is providing access for women in the auto industry from beginners and hobbyists to veterans in the industry. They offer both consumer and technical classes and provide women opportunities to work on their All-Female SEMA Builds.
So far, I’ve taken their Women’s Car Care course by ASE Master Tech Brittni, Intro to Metalworking & Automotive Welding for Beginners with Brianna of Huhney Bee Welding, and participated on the High Yellow 1956 Chevy Truck All-Female SEMA Build with other newbies like myself and many talented women like bossladies, Bogi and Shawnda.
Since the female space in the RV industry is so small, working with these skilled automotive tradeswomen has been exciting. Naturally, the Auto and RV spaces overlap a great deal, so everything I’m learning I’m able to add to my RV Technician & Inspector toolbox.
Every day I’m lucky enough to join in the fun at Girl Gang Garage is a great day. It’s my hope that RVIT will be able to provide similar educational access and opportunities to women in the RV trades one day!
